WW  II  FORD  SCRIPT  GPW    ARMY  JEEP   BODY  WITH  PANELS.I bought this  body  with the assurance it  was  an original  1942  Ford   Script   body  but I  now believe  it is a reproduction , Possibly with some original panels - But not confirmed. There  appears  to be original   paint under the  cowl  and some original floor panels  - Again to be  confirmed  - Please  note. There are also lots of holes in the Dashboard  where it appears Data plates were  - Thus the possibility it has an original  cowl. The body would be a  very viable  alternative to the  high cost of restoring an original , Unrestored one. My company supplied and built motor  vehicles over a 40 year  period to the Film and Television industry , Including a number of Jeeps. Some  food for thought - Many of  these vehicles were re-powered with alternative  engines and Drive-Trains - Included are  the last two 2 images of  these Jeeps (NOT  included in the sale - For demonstration purposes only ) which in both cases were powered by Daihatsu  4x4 mechanics  and  in the last case a complete Daihatsu Running gear and Chassis-  A cheaper way to get  a Jeep  restored.  The purists will scoff at this  but it  puts  another Jeep on the road and  you still get the same amount of rain and cold wind in your face and hair!.  This body   is  in  excellent, Near  new   condition - Never  been  on the road. . Included are the following  original parts  - Passenger seat ("F") stamped . Rear seat "F" stamped , Fuel tank, Hood bows (Cant  see under  the paint  if  they are "F" Stamped !!!!,) Headlights and mounts .  I guess my original  thoughts that it looked too good to be  77 years old  was correct  even with the restoration.   Vehicle  is  located  in  Kenthurst , Sydney. I  welcome  any  inspection  or  request  for more information /  Images.
