Subaru was purchased by my soninlaw from his freind that imported the car. so we know the history. son in law has owned the car 8 years in which has covered 8000 and only used on the weekends. Has done 110 thousand mls it has never been used on trackdays only driven with respect as hes older chap who has no interest in tearing it up , he had owned many subaru 4 doors as everyday cars for him and my daughter he has always had them,hence this was the model they had always wanted to take to show meets etc and leisure trips always run on V power fuel .(HISTORY OF THE CAR IS .)his friend had the intention when he purchased the car of building a 100 percent reliable fast properly put together type r, money was not an issue when rebuilding so the engine was rebuilt with many new parts and suspension was fully upgraded and a new full roll cage was fitted (which is removable) if standard look preferred, but the freind got divorced so car had to be sold, I had previously owned a rolling road company and knew the car and said to the son in law it is an ideal car to buy because the freind that brought and built the car had not used it. although he had many tuning parts and bigger turbo he built it with reliability in mind so when son inlaw purchased the car it was on the lowest settings 280 to 300 Bhp I suggest to him to leave it on low boost and not to start messing around getting tuning companies remapping the programmable ecu And upping boost etc like most people do,as they do not last to long when these guys thrash them about, so the car was set up with similar bhp to when it was purchased New, but can be tuned if required the only thing I suggested to him was to have it dynod just to check everything is spot on before the sale by clive atthowe tuning norwich he has a great name in the tuning world. clive suggested because of the heat on the day extremely Hot temperatures That it was definitly 300 bhp car even though with the car on lowest settings. He advised for road use not over fuelling over boosting etc like most of the subarus he gets in, and this is the reason the engine was in good fettle. He said if it was remapped and boost upped you would be looking at proberly 350 + with the current ball bearing larger turbo + intercooler etc etc. Here is a list of some of the parts .(LINKS reprogramable ecu ) ( APEX I adjustable boost controller ) RADIATOR is alloy quality wider rad with 2 fans ..the engine when rebuilt was fitted with new crankshaft with ACR bearings + uprated oil pump and housing, .Wiesco pistons triple headgasket ,20 g ballbearing turbo With front mounted inter cooler. With HKS dump valve + samco hoses + HKS filter ,WALBRO fuel pump.3 paddle clutch , Hayward scott exhaust 3inch Complete exhaust stainless system with decat pipe ( orginal cat comes with car separately) the suspension Is TEIN coil over shocks + TEIN adjustable top mounts ,and the suspension is polly bushed through out Alloy mounts for rollbars, Brakes are WILLWOOD calipers with 335 vented discs on ceramic bells .Braided hoses .wheels are KEI light weight wheels 18 x 7.5 and no damage and Tyres are 225/45/18 . Interior SAFETY DEVICES FULL ROLL CAGE INCLUDING DOOR BARS. This is removable as bolted in on proper sill mounted platforms to put back to standard if preferred.
