Bought this car in June 2018 to go cruising while I was finishing another car build.
Excellent example of an original Trans Am with only 51,xxx km, Right hand drive converted in 1996
Previous owner rarely drove the Trans Am and it has required A LOT of mechanical repairs to get it up to scratch
Items Repaired/Rebuilt or replaced in the last 6 Months: Transmission Rebuilt Brand new Radiator Cylinder heads removed checked and pressure tested (due to suspect head gasket) New head bolts All new gaskets top end New water pump Mechanic accidently got water into Optispark distributer, BRAND NEW Optispark distributor installed, extremely common faulty item and expensive fix. New filters air/fuel New intake Rebuilt head light motors Rear hatch struts replaced New battery Wheel alignment RWC issued 28-10-19 31-10-19 full complete detail inc polish and wax cost of $850
Cruises great with plenty of power being 5.7L LT1 v8 with 4 Speed auto (4l60e) Have only done about 100Km between workshops since all repairs have been carried out Spent $7,200 in repairs. My other project is nearing completion and I no longer have use for the Trans Am
Only know faults are a/c compressor has seized to lack of use, drivers side power mirror switch works when it wants to, interior light not working (guessing a globe or a switch) Trans Am to be sold with RWC, No rego. It is allegeable for club Rego
