Reluctant sale of my 65 Morris 1100, an under appreciated classic and very rare these days.
I bought this car to restore but as the familiar story goes, to many projects not enough space and other things requiring my money.
The car is currently stripped in readiness for body work, it has rust in the usual places for an 1100 but but nothing terminal. Actually it is a very solid car and it comes with most the replacement panels you’ll need. New front left floor pan, lower front left guard, front left 2/3 outer sill, etc.
The engine ran when it was removed, but ran rough, believed it was down a cylinder. Could has been something as easy as a spark plug or lead but could have been a gasket or worse. Please note this engine came with the car but is not it’s original but correct type.
The car is 100% all there and I’ve collected many replacement parts including interior, new steering wheel, dash instrument hood, speaker drill and even a roll of the correct BMC vinyl for seat repairs. Please note it’s all mostly NOS.
A more complete, ready to go project would be hard to find and the asking price wouldn’t even cover the spares.
Not included in the sale is an original dealer Hydrolastic service pump and a second engine, I’ll hold off selling these in case the purchaser is interested in buying these as well.
