This 2-owner completely original "time-capsule" Canadian-spec 1988 Honda CRX Si shows 14,082 kms (8750 miles) and was purchased by me in Oct. 2019 from the original owner in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It was purchased new from Cambridge Honda in Sept. 1988. This Made in Japan, garage stored car is finished in factory R63 Rio red over black cloth and is powered by a 1.6-liter MPFI inline-four cylinder(D16A6) mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A pull-out Denon CD head unit was installed a year after purchase with a 1989 date code and also includes the original Honda radio blank off plate which can be used when the radio is removed. The factory climate control unit is in as new condition. Recent service includes the installation of a new OEM Honda battery and OEM Honda timing belt replaced in Feb. of 2020, along with new OEM Honda hatch shocks. An oil change was performed as well utilizing Honda branded oil and filter as well as doing a full brake fluid flush with OEM Honda brake fluid. The body panels are finished in the original Rio Red and the paint is in fantastic condition and still shines like new. Noted flaws include some speckling(cause unknown) on the top right side of the rear bumper(see pic) and a little on the right rear upper quarter panel and rear glass panel. The rear hatch glass has some minor scratches. There is one very small minor dent in the sunroof that can only be seen under the "right" light. The sunroof does sag slightly at the right rear corner but operates perfectly. There are some minor paint scuffs on the black door and bumper guards and a very small paint chip behind the right rear wheel on the bumper cover. An HKS factory appearing and sounding cat-back exhaust was added due to the original muffler having a fist size rust spot due to condensation from short drives, the orig. exhaust is included with the sale. The body is 100% rust free and the engine and chassis still show all the factory markings and zinc plating. The car was undercoated at the dealer in 1988 at a cost of $490 and involved applying a tar-like product to the underbody, engine bay, inside of the hood, and the bottoms of the doors. It could be removed if desired but it has served to protect the car over it's 32 year life span. An OEM front lip has been installed using factory hardware as the Canadian cars were not offered with this option. The Carfax report shows no history of accidents or other damage(see pic). It also shows the car was not registered for many years of its life which resulted in such low mileage.

Standard features on the 1988 CRX Si included disc brakes up front, drums in the rear, a multi-link control-arm suspension, front and rear sway bars, and manual rack-and-pinion steering. The stock interior features black cloth seats with grey striped fabric inserts and OEM CRX floormats. The floormats were purchased by me from the USA and restored to good condition by a local company. Manual windows, a power sliding sunroof, manual locks, and no modern electronics make this car a fantastic analog driving experience. I will include a set of storage-grade tires and wheels.The Canadian spec six-digit odometer shows just 14,082 kms(8750 miles), approximately 1200 of which were added by me during the summer of 2020. The fuel-injected 1.6L D16A6 SOHC inline-four produced 104 horsepower from the factory and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This CRX runs beautifully and is a joy to drive. Clutch takeup is fantastic and fuel economy spectacular. It makes the occupants feel as if you've gone back in time and is an excellent representation of the beginning of Honda's "Golden-Era" cars.
The opportunity to purchase what I believe to be one of the most original examples in the world of this iconic 1988 CRX Si won't come along again anytime soon. The car is currently riding on a brand new set of Fortune Auto 500 coilovers and Enkei RpF1 wheels so it can be driven. These items are NOT included with the sale and the car will be delivered with the orig. wheels/tires and OEM suspension.
