Owner description
Honda Accord
SIR chassis code CF4 in black. This is a rare car with few in the country
and is the same body shape as the Accord Euro R.
Has done just
under 167,000 kilometers which equates to just under 103,800 miles.
The MOT runs
until 28 January 2021.
The car has the
rare F20B DOHC VTEC engine rated at 180 bhp. These engines are very similar
to H series engines but are more desirable for turbo charging due to
their cast
iron sleeves.
The transmission
used is the S-Matic automatic
transmission. Moving the gear-stick over to the right allows manual
selection of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear using up and down shift actions just
like the sequential gearboxes used on the JGTC NSX.
Overall, the
interior of the car is in good condition and the engine and gearbox work well.
The VTEC kicks in strong as it should.
The car is being
sold as a part finished project car. I purchased the car back in November 2019
with the view of fixing it up over the spring/summer. Unfortunately, due to the epidemic I did not have the time nor funds available to
finish the project.
The car comes
with Eibach 40mm lowering springs. I have fitted the rears but have
not have time to change the fronts. These will come with the car along with two
new front dampers.
Also included
with the car is a personalised number plate WAZ 2560 which should be worth
something and a 'Starlight spoiler' which the previous seller highlighted on
his description so should also be worth something.
As said the car
is being sold as a project car and will require work to pass the next MOT. In
particular, there looks to be rust on the jacking points and along the sills so
will require welding. Though the exterior body work is mostly rust free with a
slight bubble on one of the arches.
There also looks
to be an exhaust leak from the flexi pipe which should be a pretty simple fix.
The car bodywork
is in fairly good condition for its age with no dents. There are scuffs around
the car but the main issue with the body work are some deep key scratches on
the bonnet and door.
