This is a standard 2012 Chevy Volt. It has proven to be a very reliable car. I believe I am the 4th owner of this car. The good things about this car is that I put new tires on it in December, it has a clear title, and has never seen a major accident according to carfax. It's been a great car to me. Disclosure of work that the car needs/damage: Windshield Cracked; I've noticed the MPG and Electric Range are a bit lower than factory. I usually get somewhere between 27 and 38 miles on a charge depending on weather, traffic, and speed.
Paint scuff Passenger rear quarter panel
Lower portion of bumper damaged from friction on high spots in road
The trunk has some scratches/marks on the plastic walls
According to my mechanic, the car will need new rear struts or tire rotations often in order to increase tire life
Occasionally I have had times the car won't take a charge or will stop charging. The check engine light comes on when this happens, but then flips off again and charges fine. It is a bit strange. I would take it to the dealer for this to be fixed.
As I said, desptie these flaws the car has been super reliable and I have loved it. It has done me well and has plenty of life left in it. The flaws are reflected in the price of the car.
