This 2004 Barbados Blue on Black GTO is one of only 572 built in this one-year color with the 4L60E automatic. I am the original owner, and this car has been my reliable daily driver, accumulating just over 165,000 expertly maintained miles. Since new, this GTO has been maintained with Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil, and the engine oil, gasoline (93 octane only), transmission fluid, power steering fluid and differential gear oil are regularly treated with zMAX microlubricant. Oil changed religiously every 5,000 miles. Over the years, the transmission was rebuilt (75K miles). The front struts, rear shocks, rack & pinion steering assembly, alternator, AC compressor, PS pump and drive shaft carrier bearings and couplings have been replaced within the past year. The differential oil was changed late last year with TORCO synthetic oil and friction modifier-no “clunk in the trunk.” The tires are Yokohama Envigor Z-rated all-season with plenty of tread life. Modifications include a BMR strut tower brace, American Racing 17-inch wheels, DiscItalia slotted/drilled rotors with ceramic pads, RK Sport cold air induction hood and rear spoiler, billet grilles, projector beam headlamps, LED tail lamps, K&N intake, Aeroforce Interceptor programmable gauges, JVC sound system with Polk Audio speakers and Bluetooth, backup sensors, and a few small cosmetic mods. There’s even a trailer hitch designed for the GTO and similar Holden cars that I installed to accept a bike rack. GTO Association of America 2[hidden information] Tech Advisor Jerry Klaus computer-tuned this car, so it’s much quicker and powerful than stock. Many factory parts, including the hood, have been retained. The interior needs some work, mainly, the seats need to be re-upholstered as some of the seams have split (a common problem with these GTOs). Full disclosure: In 2014, this car was involved in a low-speed, one-car accident that damaged the nose. The photos you see here are post-repair.
