Up for sale is a 1989 Ford Mustang LX Hatchback with only 40,000 miles. 2.3 4 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual transmission. This car was not driven or registered from 1997 until 2020. It has recently received a new fuel pump, fuel tank, battery, oil change, and radiator. This little car runs and drives great and is super tight. The interior is in very good condition but is not perfect. The engine bay is extremely clean and there is absolutely zero rust or rot anywhere on this car that I have seen. The floor pans and torque boxes are perfect. The body is in decent condition but unfortunately it was repainted at some point very early on in its life. It is a maaco quality paint job. If I was going to keep this car I would get a good paintless dent repair man to go over the whole car and then I would probably also get it repainted. The paint shines great but it is not nice enough for the rest of the car in my opinion. It is still a heck of a 20 footer as is. I have had a lot of these cars and the engine bay, interior, and undercarriage on this car are probably the nicest I have ever had. The power mirrors work, both windows work, and all of the courtesy lights still work. Even the light under the hood works. Heat and AC also work properly as well. This has the bones to become a really, really nice car. You just do not find unmolested, low mile foxbody mustangs anymore. Clean title in hand. I would really prefer for an interested party to come and inspect the car in person before bidding but I understand that is not always possible.
