1984 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40LX
A very original car with all of its bits as it left the factory 36 years ago.
5 speed gearbox, Power steering, all 6 seats in the zebra upholstery (driver’s seat has a small tear but I have a spare piece of fabric to replace the side section with) original AM radio (that works) as well as over head console with am/fm radio, tacho, 180,000k’s on the odometer, new clutch master (2018), Toyota tool bag, Toyota Jack and winder, standard brown front mat and original brown rear matt (astrograss type of stuff but this is the original one), rear side seat holder belt to keep the side seat up when access to the rear seats is required, 33” Mud Terrain tyres all with good amounts of tread on there(spare has never been used), exterior paint work was polished for 2018 Club display at Motorclassica, housed inside for the 10 years I have owned it, new battery 2017, gearbox reconditioned 2011, new bonnet latches. Original ARB (c 1984) winch bar on the front recently sand blasted and powder coated.
Small amounts of rust in the passenger foot well (4cmx0.5-1cm as per photo), small amount of rust on the rear passenger side near rear door, driver’s side rear door has a bubble in the paint, small amount of rust showing on the inside rear(both sides) of the wheel arch, small area of rust (just showing) in the join above the kick vent, engine bay needs a tidy up. Car did have LPG (but wasn't driven that far so removed it as the carby dries out) and was going to infill the hole in the rear 1/4 panel, but the new owner may want to re-instate the LPG so have left it there. Carby needs a tune as its running a bit rich.
Is in extremely good condition for a 36 year old 40 series. The lower sections of the doors appear rust free (hard to find now), the gutters are in great condition as the whole vehicle was painted about 15 years ago. 180xxxk's on the odometer and I am the 3rd owner and have had this vehicle for 10 years. (I have a few others so don't use this as much as I want to so moving it onto someone who will)
Being a LX version it came with lots of other bits and you will be searching far and wide to find one that still has all the things that made the LX special. I had to track down a few bits as when I purchased it missing a few bits. It is currently on club plates and will be sold as is where is basis. I have more photos available and video of it running.
