For Your Consideration is a (2 Owner)Matching Numbers 1970 Firebird.350. 2BBl V8 , Automatic Hydramatic Trans.
First Year Of The Second Generation Birds.This Was The First and Only Year With The Unique Seat Headrests.
Polar White With 205 Vinyl Saddle Interior.
Built at the Van Nuys California Plant and Sold at Sondeno Pontiac -GMC in Oakdale California. Later it Would Find It's Way to Georgia.
Power SteeringPower Front Disc BrakesFactory Air Conditioning.
Will Need Interior/ Exterior Restoration to a Degree. Overall Very Solid. Great Bones As To Be Expected Coming From California and Georgia.. Solid Floors ,Trunk Pan ,Solid Frame and Chassis.
Currently Sporting a Formula 400 "Ram Air" Hood, 14 Inch Rally's, Trunk, Chin and Fender Spoilers.
Recently Replaced: PointsPlugsCondenserIgnition CoilFuel Pump.
Starts Right Up. But The 2BBl Carburetor is Fouled From Sitting Over The Years and Will Need to be Refreshed. Personally I'd Replace the 2BBl With a 4 BBl and Locate a Ram Air Cleaner to Marry to the Existing Ram Air Hood. She'll Also Need Tires. They're Aged From Sitting.
** Bonus... An additional Set of 15" Rally II's and The Original Set of 14" Steel Wheels With Center Caps and Beauty Rings From the Factory. (see pics).
Also, Revered By Collectors Is The Original Window Sticker and Protecto Plate, Original Owners Manual, Consumer Information Packet and New Vehicle Warrant Packet Along With Several Other Original Documents. These Were Presented to The First Owner When It Was Purchased "New" 50 Years ago. ( *only a 2 owner car).
These Early 2nd Generation Birds From 1970 -1973 are Becoming a Moonshot For Collectors. They're Also Getting Extremely Difficult To Locate. Especially If Your Lucky Enough To Find One Solid Enough To Restore Without Breaking The Bank.
This is Overall a NICE SOLID BIRD !
