This is not your ordinary 351W 4V 4 spd, shaker, royal maroon mach1, It was sold to Ford marketing and shipped to the Ford research center, with the ship to address being the Ford test track. This car was a experimental drag race car, and was supposed to be destroyed afterwards. Notice the tax exempt status on the factory invoice with federal and tire taxes waived.  The 351W was rumored to have been played with by Roush and Gapp until the 351 clevelands came out.  I found on You Tube a old movie camera video "Detroit Dragway Nationals 197?" and at the 2:58 mark, a 69 royal maroon mach with rear spoiler and louvers racing in Detroit, this car has rear spoiler and louver holes, sort of unusual in 1969 and 1970. Check out the video.  After its race days the head engine builder for Roush ended up with the car until he died.  The next owner bought it from his estate sale in 1999.  The next owner got it in 2002, and it never left Michigan until I got it in 2018. I had known about the car for 10 years.  I got the car with a clean Michigan title and now a clean Illinois title in my name.  The car was hidden for decades in current disassembled condition, but not necessarily preserved, back then just another race car.
This car is still original paint. 5 leaf springs on drivers side, 6 on the pass, individual air shock inlets in each trunk floor for each shock. I had the heads machined for screw in studs and found someone had drill the rocker stud bosses and stuck in roll pins to crank down the rockers, then covered the roll pins up. The heads also had port work done. The block is fresh 30 over, new pistons in the box. Correct motor but not #'s matching, experimental race car, it got played with. The NOS sheet metal that came with the car is old N.O.S. brown primer with yellow paint stencil numbers. The 69 351W shaker is the rarest of all shakers, C9OX experimental ford aluminum intake with NOS carb. seats with no rips, rimblow with no cracks. Many more smaller parts not in pictures.  Study picts and ford factory invoice.  thanksU.S. buyers only please, I reserve the right to end the auction early because is is also listed locally. The car will not be released until the funds clear my bank.Block date: 8M19, heads 9A6 and 8K3, exhaust man 8J23 and 8K5, dist 9B, yes it was a race car and it was played with, not original motor but all correct parts, thanks.
