1965 Plymouth Sport Fury -Black/Black -Serious 383 CID HP Build -SHOW QUALITY

This original one year body style black on black 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury has been with the same owner for almost 20 years with the ground up restoration being completed approximately 9-10 years ago. It has been garage stored and hasn't seen rain for decades. Great lengths have been gone to in order to keep this car to its original appearance with the interior and exterior but with serious muscle under the hood. This car has truely only been driven locally to special events and has only approximately 1000 miles total on the restoration.
engine: 383 stroker (489 c.i.)
The original engine has been professionally rebuilt by Best Machine Racing Engines in late 2007. The engine has been dino tested after its rebuild and is kicking out nearly 600 hp. with very impressive torque (documentation is available). The drive train built to suit with the 727 transmission rebuild at Joel's Performance Transmission and the 8 3/4 rear end rebuilt at DTS which has a 3.91 gear.
The headers were manufactured by TTi with 3" stainless steel full length exhaust.
original/modified engine/professionally rebuilt (all receipts and documentation available) runs with standard premium (93 oc.) gas, no racing fuel needed.
custom modified to a single belt system.
electronic ignition
custom radiator with electric fan and trans cooler.
instrument cluster (fuel,water,oil & tans) added for accurate monitoring. (note: original gages are in the dash but not in use)
brake lines are stainless steel
braided fuel lines with electric fuel pump and kill switch.
restored to original color (black)
the body was painted on a  rotisserie and all panels painted individually prior to reassembling.
all chroming has been done to show quality.
interior 100 % restored to original factory (black). all interior trim rechromed.
all trim (including the grill and headlight bezels) have been restored and clear powder coated to protect and provide low maintenance for cleaning.
factory a/c modified to today's standards (eliminated era Harley engine style compressor)
frame off restoration
quarter panels were removed during restoration to be bench worked and to clean all unreachable surfaces. (this is a true "no-dough" restoration)
pictures and receipts to support the restoration available.
frame and all suspension has been stripped and powder coated.
front brakes have been converted to disc (pst suspension kit), rear brakes are drum.

Just over 1,000 miles have been driven since completion of the restoration. Mileage showing on the odometer is 52,742 (TMU). You will be proud to own this rare, true factory Black Sport Fury.
