This super neat little Nova pillarless coupe was from the first year of production in 1962. The Nova was available in a number of different body styles including a sedan, station wagon, coupe and convertible. Over the years these cars have gained a great following from guys cramming big powerful engines into the Nova’s small light frame making the cars popular with hot rodders and car builders worldwide. This car has been tastefully modified into a tougher than your average, but not over the top, cool little street car.The first thing you will notice on the car is the paintwork. The body is very neat and the paintwork is smooth across the panels. The gloss is deep and the striking red colour really pops in the sun. The chrome bumpers front and rear are near perfect in presentation. The chrome trims and stainless mouldings are all very nice around the car. A billet style grill adds a subtle custom touch to the exterior styling. The car sits down nice and low over a set of 15” Weld pro star racing wheels.Under the bonnet is a neatly presented 327ci V8 engine that was completely rebuilt in 2010 with new pistons, rings, rods, bearings etc. The heads were reconditioned and modified for unleaded fuel. A mild cam was also added during the rebuild. The turbo 700r automatic transmission was also fully rebuilt in 2009 with a stage 2 shift kit added. Receipts are available with the car for both the engine and transmission rebuild. A set of wild looking headers swirl up into the wheel wells followed by a custom exhaust underneath. The car sounds great at idle and pulls well down the road. An upgraded radiator with electric thermo fans keep everything cool.Inside the car is relatively factory with the exception of extra bolsters in the retrimmed seats and a quick shifter on the floor. Three additional gauges sit under the dash to monitor what’s happening under the hood. Inside is all neat and tidy in general and a nice place to be.The car is a very nice example of a super tidy pillarless 62 Nova that has been tastefully modified into a nice street car. It’s not over the top in any way, it hasn’t had a huge dollar nut and bolt resto but is certainly a cool little car that we would be proud to own and cruise around in.OPEN DAY, THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH, 8AM-2PM WITH COFFEE AND FOOD TRUCK ON SITE.BY APPOINTMENT ONLY FOR GENUINE VEHICLE INQUIRIES/INSPECTIONS TUESDAY TO SATURDAY, PLEASE CALL LOCKY MCCANN TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO VIEW ON [hidden information]GOT A CLASSIC CAR TO SELL?
