FJ HOLDEN SEDAN. Injected 304 V8/ Turbo 700 Paint and assembly needed. ALL The HARD WORK is DONE The body on this vehicle is nothing short of excellent considering its age. Vehicle has been stripped back and has 2 coats of High Fill 2k primer. There is repairs which need doing prior to paint however I wished to show the buyer a “warts and all” type scenario. There is no rust in the vehicle at all. It did have some rust in the inner/outer sills which has been professionally repaired and no further attention needed. The vehicle will need a few minor things sorted for engineering, and I have a report from a local engineer to be supplied with the sale, detailing what areas still need attention. Basically the rear suspension will need to be tied into the chassis kit and stiffer lowered springs fitted. The Donor vehicle was a VR with a 185kw 304 engine. The Vehicle had low Kilometres however the engine transmission and brakes have been overhauled and fully serviced before fitting to the vehicle. The engine was fitted using a FULL “V8 FJ Conversion kit” By Pat Gardner of V6 Conversions Moree. They are highly regarded as the best for early holden conversions using the Buick v6 and holden v8 engines. The front end is new and has had no miles on it at all. The chassis kit and front end are easily certified for registration purposes. The rear suspension uses the standard FJ springs ( easily upgraded) and has new Shocks fitted. The Brakes are all from the Donor vehicle VR, and are all in good condition with new pads and kitted callipers with slotted rotors. The brakes work really well and she stops on a dime. The vehicle feels really good on the road and certainly doesn’t drive like your typical FJ. The Electrical system was converted using a V6 Conversions loom and wiring kit. The vehicle STARTS off the key, Runs well and drives nicely. It has a brand new HD battery fitted in the boot. It also has a VR fuel tank fitted into the boot floor. It will need a filler sorted, the original one has been welded closed, however it may make a good position for the filler. All the parts are here for her, and I am currently detailing a complete list of parts which go with the vehicle. The glass is all there with some spares and all the chrome work is there and in fair to good condition, bars and grill for example could do with a re-chrome, but this would depend solidly on what your plans are for her. There is a full interior which was complete and re-trimmed/un-fitted consisting or one front and one rear seat, parcel shelf, 4 door cards with no holes cut. The photos shown shows her in her “Naked” state and I have plenty, however I am really keen to have genuine buyers who like to “talk” on the phone, and communicate when they are viewing the vehicle, however I will be accomodating for “out-of-area” buyers. I will upload more photos over the coming weeks. I am not in a hurry to sell her, but in saying that she is definitely for sale. I most likely won’t respond to stupid offers, but I am a keen car enthusiast and have many cars and I could be interested in swaps or part trades. These don’t come along too often. I seen one come up last year with no where near as good a conversion as this one, which did sell for $38k. It was painted (be it a nasty matte black) and it had club rego). Club rego is an EASY option for registration, however it wouldn’t be to hard to get it engineered and full rego, which will mean it can be insured and driven like any other vehicle without reservation. She’s one of a kind. I get it, EFFIE’s are not everyones cup of tea, however they are getting harder and harder to find. I have considered long and hard her value and I believe strongly that my asking fairly represents the current market and the vehicles many good attributes.
