I've had this car for quite a few years and it has provided great enjoyment. The original flathead sounds amazing and runs strong. This hot rod can get down the highway at 70 mph no problem. Three on the tree is fun to drive and very unique these days. The rear curved seat is out of a T-bird. The front seats need upholstery but they are covered with a Mexican blanket. Please see the photos for areas of some minor rust on the body. Please remember this car is very old, not restored and is a survivor hot rod. The frame and underneath of this car are solid. Floors are solid. I installed front seat belts which are bolted to the frame. I have the original rear seat, original "flaming teapot" carb, original manifold, original oil bath air cleaner and the original exhaust with crossover pipe. This is all included with the car. Also included are the dummy lamps and rear skirts. I disconnected the Lakes Pipes when I had children as they obviously get hot and can burn little legs. They can be reattached. Yes you can drive this car anywhere. This is a 68 year old car so some basic understanding of how cars work is good if you want to drive to California or other long distances. My guess is if you are reading this ad you already know all of that. You'll need to check the oil and coolant every once and a while. Just like the old days. The flathead runs strong and they are unstoppable. The flathead runs cool even in summer. Four barrel and dual exhaust gives it good power. It's got that rumble that only a flathead has. This Merc gets a lot of attention. People love it at car shows because of it's authentic patina. No radio, no AC, no power steering, of course. The car is garage kept and is located in Asbury Park, New Jersey. I will ship anywhere on your dime and I can assist in loading etc... Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to ask questions. Reserve is very reasonable. Please bid with confidence.
