This is an award winning car that I now offer for sale.
It has won 2 awards for originality.
This car was prepared and delivered by Jack Barclay of Mayfair London.
This matching number car, first delivered January 1972 in London to Sir James Barker, who was chairman of a very large British food conglomerate.
The car was then brought out here in the late 70’s by the second owner. This car was then sold to the 3rd owner who was a prominent member of the NSW Parliment.
The car lived a very well driven and a very well serviced life in the Southern Highlands of NSW. The car was very well serviced by a local Rolls-Royce specialist for the length of its very easy life in the Southern Highlands.
I am the 4th owner.
I have extensive records of servicing and parts, even going back to the early days of York Motors in Sydney. I have kept every receipt for everything I have spent as well.
I have serviced this car every 6 months, regardless of the lower distances travelled.
All of this history is spiral bound and supplied with the car as it is an important and complete part of the cars on going history.
Please see the image of the boot for all of these records.
The car still has its original books and a fully complete & original supplied with the car tool kit (see boot image) The build sheets from Rolls-Royce are spiral bound for your reading pleasure.
Please see images of the original interior and only the timbers have been professionally refurbished to Rolls-Royce standards regarding book matching of veneers and a glass like lacquer finish.
Most of the Seychelles Blue paint is original, and literally gleams. I have spent hundreds of hours just on the presentation of this car, based on judges recommendations and to exacting Silver Shadow specs.
Seats are all original, and showing a beautifully aged patina. The 100% wool Wilton carpets throughout are still original, and are still as new. The original clock is still fitted and working well. All brightwork is excellent with no rust marks or pitting at all.
Hydraulic fluid & coolant has been replaced every 2 years as per Rolls-Royce specs, and this was last done in July 2017. Last engine service December 2017. New white wall tyres fitted in 2017. Full NSW registration until February 2019
The car drives exactly as it should, steering is tight, brakes are just amazing. It drives the way it was meant to drive. Any serious offers will be considered. Delivery interstate can be arranged at my expense if the offer price is right.
Don’t be caught out buying a little used barn find Shadow, as this is the worst Shadow you can buy.
A good thing to Remember: “There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Shadow”
A well driven, and well serviced Shadow is a great Shadow. Please see all images as they form part of the description.
