The last buyer had an emergency to tend to and had to bow out, so this listing is back. Need the cash but probably rock bottom price for all those looking. Thanks for the interest. Some have asked for more photos like under doors etc. I snapped some quick shots with my phone, and have a google photo album to share but Ebay does not allow url links just message me for the URL to see a lot more photos Here is a video of the Camaro running with walk around: https://youtu.be/EZXx-5Af2Dg For sale 1971 Camaro Rally Sport, original RS not a conversion kit. Cowl hood non-original. Automatic. 1969 small block 350, 30 over, bigger cam, performance intake, street demon carb. Rides great, super clean, I drive it all the time. Never in rain or snow. Garaged all year. Restored approx 10 years ago, straight, clean. Only rust is small 2" spot near trunk hinge and where original battery tray rested. New battery tray and area coated to stop spread. Excellent on highway or in traffic. Has split rear diff, so not a burnout machine, but great handling. Dummy gauges switched up a bit to replace fuel with tach. Original fuel and clock come with the car. Also installed 3 point harness buckle, original buckles also included. I have other parts as well, like the Holley Carb that came with it when I bought it. Custom made cover. Extra front parking lights. This is an amazing car, it gets appreciation at shows but not a show winning car, it drives great and is super fast and fun. It's a non-project car to go have fun with. Looks amazing cleaned and in the sun, but there are chips and dings here and there. Some fine bondo cracks near driver B pillar. Overall a great sounding, head turning car. ~35,500 miles (probably since new motor was put in 10 years ago). An excellent no-nonsense car ready to enjoy. I have had a lot of good questions from potential buyers: How is the paint? The paint is nice, it is 10 years old, swirls, chipped here and there, not a show finish, but nothing rusting, just superficial marks. From 5 feet away it looks amazing. Some fine bondo cracks near driver B pillar. The stripes are under the clear and they are silver on black. Is it a real RS?If not, I am certainly fooled. Regardless it is not a collector car in that sense anyway, it is strictly an awesome looking muscle car that runs great, so to me it's here nor there. ButFrom what I know it is. Unless I am mistaken the trim tag did not designate until 1974-75. The model is 12487. I have a previous registration with the RS distinction. It has all the body cues., special black painted grille with special rubber tipped vertical center bar and resilient body color grille frame; Independent LH and RH front bumpers replacing full-width bumper; license plate bracket mounted below RH bumper; parking lights with bright accents mounted on grille panel; Hide-a-Way windshield wipers with black-chrome finished arms and articulated left-hand blade; bright roof drip, window, and hood panel moldings; RS emblem on steering wheel (this one is not here, I think the interior must have been gone over. It is obvious the dash pad in an OEM replacement, it's too new looking.); Rally Sport front fender nameplates; bright accented taillights and backup lights , check this url for a good resource: http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro71.html
Do I have a title? If your not familiar with NYS antique registration, it is the registration that is transferable, there is no separate title. I have the clean, up-to-date, transferrable registration that gets signed by the both of us. Are those dents or reflections in the photos? There are no dents on this car anywhere. Any variations are reflections. How are under the doors and flooring? No rust, no holes. Message me and I can send a link to a google album to show you whatever you like. There are already a ton of requested photos there. Anything else about the car that was not listed above that is worth noting?Yes, ELECTRICI want to replace the passenger headlight terminal, it's worn and the orange wire will come loose from time to time, but I just put a screw in there and it holds. The passenger parking light as well, so I bought replacement passenger lights to replace. The only other electrical thing I never worked out was the left blinker doesn't blink in the dash ever since I replaced the old bulbs with the newer LED, but outside the car it does. I bought new parts to troubleshoot that like a relay or something. But other than those two things the electric is all working. It's some old and some new, but its all working fine. I have cleared out a lot. The car came with a new Sony bluetooth capable stereo and I installed a new OEM speaker in the dash. MECHANICALI can't think of anything mechanical that is either of concern or otherwise. I have invested quite a bit since I have owned it to get it safe and reliable. It's running a bit rich right now, but I just haven't had time to adjust the new carb or play with it. Certainly way leaner than the Holley that it came with.
Overall it's truly just a nice fun car. I will answer any and all questions or concerns. If you are local I invite you to come and have a drive. Thanks for looking.
