Reluctantly selling my RHD 1965 Buick Riviera. Another project is taking up way too much money sadly. Will be sold with full NSW registration until May 2019 and custom 'RIV' plates.
This was imported into Australia in 1965, and converted not long after. It was painted approximately 15-20 years ago and spent a lot of time in storage after that. It has been recommissioned and back on the road for just over two years now. The 425 Nailhead has had new plugs, belts, seals fluids and filters and the four-barrel carb was tuned. The automatic transmission fluid was changed, and the diff fluid changed too. All brakes checked. Engine starts first turn of the key now once warm, and idles perfectly.
The engine and gearbox run perfectly smooth and it never gets hot. It's had mainly highway cruising in the time I've owned it. Everything works except the AC and heater, which have been disconnected, but everything is there except the AC condenser. This is a beautiful cruiser, which gets taken for a run once or twice a week to keep it ticking over. Approximately six months ago, I had the back sections of both sides of the exhaust replaced with new stainless steel mufflers and tips, and the hanging brackets replaced as well. Sounds beautiful.
My auto electrician has checked over all the electrics recently, and fitted a new, reproduction electric clamshell headlight cover motor that I imported from the US. At the same time, he converted the headlights to H1/H4 and every interior and exterior light now works. He also ran new wiring for an electric fan with its own fuse if you wish to set that before summer to go with the AC. That wiring is sitting up behind the dash ready to be connected to a switch if need be.
My Buick is not concourse perfect, but it is a very clean, rare in RHD and reliable cruiser. You can tell it has spent most of it's life looked after, under cover, and in storage. Call me or message me for any details. Thanks for looking.
